I HOPE that wasn't a night game, for the sake of the kids.

Wouldn't you just hate going 0 for 12?

This game, by the way, illustrates how much OOTP depends on HR for run production, as this is dead-ball era time. 55 baserunners and just 5 runs in 28 innings? Makes me wonder about the game's baserunning AI.
Some fun facts as I look at this game - Cleveland's top 2 hitters in the order went 0 for 23, and as Yyzlin points out, Dwight Fitzgerald went 14 innings and threw 185 pitches. No word on how he did in his next start. Pitcher Jess Melby pinch-ran. Also I love that in the game log, even though the winning run scored in the bottom of the 28th, the runner who had been on first dutifully advanced to third.

First two Cleveland hitters went 0 for 23 in the loss! What a nightmare of a game for them.

Think about it - Trenton had a 20-inning scoreless streak in the middle of this game.

this game takes the cake, I made the hits in league settings just about equal to the at-bats and got a 103 inning game. The game only took 27:52 to finish the game. Harold Erwin threw 48.1 hitless innings before getting injured. Winning pitcher William Balzer was injured 5 times while pitching, yet only surrendered one hit in 70 innings of work. His final stat line
