RWBL Openings.

The RWBL is a long running OOTP league that has recently moved to OOTP8/2007. During the move we've had a little turnover and have 2 teams available at this time (and one or two I need to check on activity for). The league started as a real player league, but is now in 2034, as a result, the real players have long since retired.

Currently available are the Atlanta Braves and the Milwaukee Brewers. The Braves actually sit only 2 games back of the NL East leading Marlins in mid-September. They have a strong young rotation and one of the league's best hitters in Leo Trevino. They'll need offensive help in the offseason, but with a weak NL East the Braves can be very competitive very quickly, they were also the 2031 World Champions.

The Milwaukee Brewers had a nice mini-run culminating in the 2029 World Championship. Shortly thereafter the owner left to take over another team that needed more work (I was that owner); and well, things didn't go so well for the Brew-Crew. They need a little work, but have some pieces with two good starters in Stokely and Domingues and all-world CF Jose Lerma.

This is as good a time as any to get into the league, you'll have a couple of sims to check out your team (more if you are the Braves and get into the postseason) and have the time to make the moves needed to set yourself up for next year. Couple that with 2034 having been the leagues first year in OOTP8 and you'll find that you aren't at a huge knowledge disadvantage, as everyone is still trying to figure out just who is who, in the post-SI OOTP engine (previously the league ran OOTP6.5).
