Online League Rankings/Awards?

I remember last year that someone had compiled and ranked a number of online leagues based on categories like history, activity, originality, etc. I was wondering if any one is still doing this. I can't find the link to the site(s) that I've seen in the past to see if they are updated. Does anyone know if these sites still exist?

(One reason I ask is that I am a member of the Baseball Maelstrom which has to be one of the best leagues out there based on activity, stability, commishes effort, originality and with the addition of the Maelstrom Illustrated THE best newspaper out there.)

I don't know about that Subby. Any league with a division called the Darn Tootin' Division, can't be that bad.

My guess is that the voters didn't appreciate the complimentary Schlitz samplers that we sent to them...

You know, I've never looked at your league until just a few minutes ago, and I love it. It is far too silly for me, well maybe not, but I appreciate the astounding amount of detail that you've placed into it. The team pages, with stadium dimension photos, owner pics, and links to sites where you can buy team specific apparel is great. Excellent job, I rank you higher than dead last.

Yeah - the league is totally automated now, too - we don't even manage our teams anymore (as we have a robot that takes care of all the minutiae for us.)

More time to swap recipes and read Seventeen...

The ABL will supplant the FOBL. We're like the Anna Nicole to your Osbournes.

Peace

As worst league in existence? That would be pretty difficult, as you seem to take your fake baseball pretty seriously.

Your league web site is both fantastic and whimsical, if that is even humanly possible.

Thanks for the kudos!

What you are referring to was the OFBA. As far as I know, it doesn't exist anymore. Here's the link:

Your league is awesome, no doubt - all the recognition you are seeking is richly deserved.

FOBL's official logo is the silhouette of a racoon humping a beagle.

'Nuff said...

That's why I said it was the Anna Nicole to your Osbournes. She doesn't try to be ridiculous. She just IS.

As far as fantastic and whimsical...yeah, I need to get in your league. It's obvious we have the same sense of humor, manifested from glorious hours of watching the original Batman and wondering how in the hell someone couldn't find Batman having shark repellent and hitting a shark while emitting a "whump" sound funny.

Peace
John

Don't contact my secretary. It's a cardboard cutout of Robert Wuhl. Well, you can contact him, but he'll talk your ear off about the good old days, like when Arliss was just a dream, and he longed for a romp in the hay with Dustin Diamond, TV's Screech Powers.

Peace
John

In many eyes it was, but it was gone by the time the OFBA awards were out.

I took over OFBA a few months ago and then everything at work went crazy and I didn't have time to do the things I hoped to do. If anyone is interested in collaborating on the site, please let me know.
