My guess is OU 21-10. Texas has not looked very good this year.

LOL! I'll be the Nice Football Fan and offer my congratulations for your win over Penn State. Because, let's be honest...that's your only win over a quality team. ![]() Seriously though, the Hawkeyes are playing pretty well. Personally, I think they're significantly overrated in the polls but I'd also say that Iowa State is a bit too. (Went up 4 slots and didn't even play? Yikes, I hope it doesn't go to their heads.) And I wouldn't be a good Cyclone fan if I was remiss in reminding you--- Five in a row, baby! (Just a little payback for the Iowa streak I suffered through.)

![]() And I'll be a nice guy too and congrate Iowa State for beating Nebraska. IU and ISU have good teams this year, but I would agree that they're a little overrated right now. Not a lot, but a little. Be honest, the Hawkeyes were killing your Cyclones the whole first half - too bad they can't ever hold a lead It was a hard-fought game, but my team quit and your team didn't.Look out Cyclones - the Hawks will bury you next year PS: Where is Roland, Iowa? I haven't heard of it before, but that's probably because I'm a newly imported Wisconsinite I'm guessing it's near Ames ...

Yeah, I'd say you were a tiny bit biased. Either that or you fell down and hit your head and are suffering the effects! ![]() Wallace for Heisman? Maybe, maybe not. Banks better than Wallace? That's just silly homerism. EDIT: Twins15, check the opponents. Iowa is playing a weak schedule in a weak Big 10 this year.

Thanks for the stats
![]() What stands out to me is this: Wallace: 9 TD, 6 INT Banks: 12 TD, 2 INT Think about it Kezzek ... EDIT: I don't know where Twins15 got his numbers, but ESPN.com says Wallace has 10 TDs ... Last edited by ExposFan08; 10-09-2002 at 05:33 PM. |

I *have* thought about it. And I've come to the conclusion that Banks is benefitting from an easy schedule.
(Apologies for the formatting.) Banks: Code:
2002 Game Log Passing Rushing DATE & OPP RESULT CMP ATT YDS CMP% YPA TD INT RAT ATT YDS AVG TD 8/31 Akron Win 57-21 5 8 125 62.5 15.6 2 0 276.3 2 4 2.0 0 9/7 @Miami (OH) Win 29-24 18 27 256 66.7 9.5 1 0 158.5 2 2 1.0 0 9/14 Iowa St Loss 36-31 12 21 178 57.1 8.5 2 0 159.8 9 11 1.2 0 9/21 Utah St Win 48-7 15 29 185 51.7 6.4 1 0 116.7 7 65 9.3 1 9/28 @Penn State Win 42-35 (OT) 18 30 261 60.0 8.7 4 2 163.7 8 41 5.1 0 10/5 Purdue Win 31-28 14 22 226 63.6 10.3 2 0 179.9 5 30 6.0 0 Wallace: Code:
2002 Game Log Passing Rushing DATE & OPP RESULT CMP ATT YDS CMP% YPA TD INT RAT ATT YDS AVG TD 8/24 Florida St Loss 38-31 22 33 313 66.7 9.5 2 1 160.3 10 15 1.5 1 8/31 Kansas Win 45-3 16 24 234 66.7 9.8 0 1 140.2 8 22 2.8 0 9/7 Tenn Tech Win 58-6 12 19 230 63.2 12.1 3 1 206.4 3 10 3.3 0 9/14 @Iowa Win 36-31 23 37 361 62.2 9.8 1 1 147.6 12 30 2.5 1 9/21 Troy St Win 42-12 17 25 295 68.0 11.8 3 0 206.7 5 -12 -2.4 1 9/28 Nebraska Win 36-14 19 32 220 59.4 6.9 1 2 114.9 7 50 7.1 2 Banks is having a very good year. Wallace is having a very good year--against one of the toughest schedules in the nation. Iowa State's next two games (against #3 Oklahoma and #2 Texas) will be the measuring stick as to whether Wallace locks up the Heisman or falls off the radar altogether.

You may have a point there Kezzek. Except the only ranked teams ISU has played are Florida St. and Iowa. Tennessee Tech, Kansas, and Troy St. smell like cupcakes to me ...
Still, ISU has played a tougher schedule so far, but I still think Banks is on the same level, at least, as Wallace. We'll see how the season goes, I guess
