One Pitch vs Pitch-by-Pitch

I am playing a solo league and prefer to play in "one pitch" mode. The game never seems to remember this, and I have to change it with every single game. I had originally thought this to be a design issue as there is no mention of being able to change the default in the game manual.

However, another player recently advised me that his game always opened in one play mode.

How can this mode default be changed?

I am pretty sure that this is something that cannot be changed.

This used to be an option, but now it doesn't work. It is logged as an issue, so hopefully, yes, it will be fixed for the next version.
