OOTP8 will not load on my computer. Spoke to technical support and they can not figure it out. I was suppossed to get a call to process a refund, but have not received one and can not get anyone to answer at elicense. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

What happens when you try to load the game? Does it install and not run or does it just not install at all?

Also, what are your computer specs? Are you running Windows or Mac? Give us as many details as possible and we'll do our best to help.

Using XP. I have a ton of free space. I download the game and it installs "successfully". I double click icon to launch game. It says it ootp8.exe will not execute.

OOTP is the only .exe file that gives you this problem?

Are you running it from a shortcut or the actual .exe file?

What is the EXACT error message? I've never seen the message "***.exe will not execute." Is that exactly what it says?

Have you run a virus or spyware check lately? Sometimes file associations can be changed by malware.

I'm assuming you've also uninstalled and reinstalled?

Try downloading the OOTP 2007 demo and seeing if that will run, also.

I am the administrator.

I can't get anyone to call me back from elicense. Anyone know if this is their standard op procedure.

While you're trying to get ahold of them, lets see if we can't figure this out:

I was able to Load OOTP 8 on my desktop, but still can not on my laptop. My laptop is what I travel with 3 or 4 days a week.

I have spent too much time on this project. I am going to call my bank to dispute the charge, as elicense will not respond.

I don't understand your reasoning. Obviously if you you can load it on your desktop, then the problem lies with your laptop and not OOTP.

There are a lot of avenues to explore to try to get it to run.
