Here's a question no one cares about - FaceGen

So, I'm tired of seeing 18 & 19 year old kids wearing 70's porno 'staches like they're Tom Selleck or something. Maybe I'm crazy, but it bugs me to pull up the profile of my fresh-out-of-HS potential ace and he's got one of these Rafael Palmeiro jobs. The worst is that half of them look like their facial hair is going gray.

But if I disallow facial hair for my minor league teams, will that mean that when their FaceGen portraits are generated, they'll have no beards, get saved that way, and I'll end up with an entirely clean-shaven organization? Because I obviously don't want that. Or is it possible for the game to create and "hide" facial hair settings on kids until they get into the upper levels of the minors (where I'd have the "allow beards for team members" option enabled on the Team Colors, Logos and Textures area of the Options & Ballpark sub-tab... I guess the beards fall under 'Textures')?

I must know.

EDIT: Added example pic. This kid is 17!! Look at that gray 'stache!

Can't you go to the team pages in the editor and disallow beards. Do this for all your A and AA teams and this should solve the problem. I have not tried this but it seems like this should work.

Right, got that, and thus my question:

I got that part also, thus I stated you could do this for A and AA. When the player gets to AAA or the Majors the attributes of that league will take effect. Your beardless guys may or may not get beards, but you won't have a beardless organization. remeber the players age and get new "faces" as needed. Also updated when they change teams or uniforms. So it should not be an issue.

Depends on when you have faceGen updates set, there are 3 or four settings I think, once, yearly, everytime they need it and one other. If it's once you will have a beardless organization, of course they will be wearing thier minor league gear forever too.

You can also adjust the frequency of the different types of facial hair. Though it sounds like you don't mind the older players sporting those mustaches.

Ah, I hadn't thought of that, so that's helpful. Thanks!

Also good to keep in mind. I think I have it set to update "on demand." I just never knew if advancing to a league that allowed facial hair qualified as ''demand."
