Established OOTP 2007 League Seeks Senior Co-Commissioner

- 4OTP
- http://4otp.net
- Real World (starting with 2006 season)
- OOTP 8/2007

The 4OTP began as a real-world league starting with the 2006 season, and we just finished up 2009. The league is actually a reboot of a previous generation league, and has employed a system of multiple commissioners fairly consistently. Unfortunately, our current senior commissioner has to step down in February due to work commitments, and our other current co-commish soon must step down, as well.

We have one member who's willing to take on the responsibility of co-commissioner, but he's new to the task and also has a fairly uneven work schedule. So, what we're seeking is a somewhat experienced commish who's willing to handle the majority of the regular sims and is able to do so on time on a regular basis. Would we be willing to accept a first-time commissioner? I don't speak for the entire league, but I believe so. You'd have to be confident that you could do a capable job, however. We're a pretty laid back bunch; we just need someone who can perform the routine functions of commissioner with consistency.

We sim three times a week--Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday. (This is flexible, however.) And we sim one in-game week per sim. Our commissioners are welcome to run a team, as well. We have a very dedicated core of 10-15 owners, but due to some inconsistency in league administration a while back, turnover has been high and we currently have 14 vacancies. I think that we can rehabilitate the league; but we obviously don't want to recruit new owners if the league isn't likely to continue. We're also considering contraction; but again, this isn't something we want to make the current commissioner administrate if the league's going to fold soon after we're done the process.

Our first step is to find a senior co-commissioner, which is where you come in. It's beginning to look as if our league is finished unless we're able to bring in someone from outside to run things. So if you're a displaced commissioner who misses the role (or have always wanted to try it), but don't want to bother with starting a league and building a site yourself, please consider taking a job as the senior commissioner of the 4OTP. The seat's warm and waiting for you, and I'm sure the current senior commish would be very happy to assist with the changeover in all ways possible. If you can run most sims and perform general league upkeep, we'll make sure you have a full and enjoyable league to run ASAP.

Our fate is in your hands.

Please direct all questions and inquiries to me, either by posting to this thread or via forum PM. Thank you!

I just want to chime in and say I know Sudy Nym from other places on the internet, as well as many of the long time owners in the 4OTP. They're a good bunch of guys and the 4OTP has been a great league in the past. There has been a 4OTP in it's original form or this one since OOTP4 was released and some of the owners have been there since then. It'd be a shame to see it folding.
