Busted Double Plays

I don't know if this has been brought up in this forum as I am a BBSCer, but I figured posting in here would get the attention of the designers a lot better than posting in BBSC (which I have done).

There are WAY too many broken double plays in the game. Guys with D and E speed ratings would NEVER beat out a 6-4-3 or a 4-6-3 double play, but it happens probably 10 times a game. It just happened to me on two plays in a row, both of them rated D at speed.

This NEEDS to be fixed in the next version or, more appropriately, in the next patch of this version (if there will be another patch of this version). Too many innings are extended and too many two-out runs score when this happens.

It is merely the pbp, not necessarily a reflection on the player's speed.

If you watch the PbP there is never a simple SS to 2B Fielders Choice. In OOTP the player always goes for two even if there would be absolutely no chance of turning the double play. Most of these "broken" Double Plays are actually times in the majors where no infielder would have attempted to turn two... so as a result the batter is safe with the FC.

If you check the stats OOTP actually produces the about the right number of Double Plays.

It's just aggravating. It makes you feel like you give the other team 4 or 5 outs every inning. I hope he fixes the play by play in the next release then. I post about my team in BBSC and it seems every post involves us losing a game with at least 5 busted double plays.
