CM pinch-hit and defensive substitutions
There must be something wrong with my setting because i usually set up my lineups and starting pitchers before a game and autoplay until the 7th inning. The computer manager never pinch hit or makes a defensive sub (but still hook the starter or bring in a releiver when needed). Why?
I'm the GM of an historical 2002 Yankees replay (Lahman database). Thanks, Gerry |

How much pinch-hitting and defensive substituting are you expecting during innings 1-6? In the American League, since you don't have to pinch-hit for the pitcher, there tends to be very little lineup changing before the 8th or 9th innings...

Yes, agreed. But the problem is that the other CM is pinch-hitting (in blowouts, or in the 6th/7th inning of a tie game) so i was inclined to think that maybe is something that i should check in my settings. Now i'm in September and all the callups from the reserve roster are never used (like they should, imo) by the CM during a game. Thanks,Gerry |

What are your team settings set to, it is all right on that page how quickly you will pull people if your not in control
