I like that last part the most. The fact that he took the time to include unnecessary apostrophes is cool.

Because the NFL is only Sport that deosn't play everyday and it should.

That would make the NFL the first Pro Sports to be really Geographical.

Know the NBA would be if Minnesota was in the Central and New Orleans in the Southeast.

Kobe a Laker still on Opening Day? I say No but not going to the Bulls as reported either to the Magic or Heat.

Please...and I *can't* believe I'm doing this...explain how football, which requires rest because of the pressure of the hits and contact players are taking, which over time has been known to cause numbness in the extremities...should be played as an everyday sport?

Please, explain it.

The main reason football won't happen in the middle of the week regularly is because of the preparation time "required," or the amount of time coaches and players think they need to prepare for a game.

That would be a bigger obstacle to overcome than health concerns.

Meanwhile, I can see overseas interest in the NFL lagging a bit after viewing that crappy game that the Giants and Dolphins played today.

I think the regular season should be a 16-header. That way we can get the entire season done in two days.

I think he means by spreading the schedule out.

Maybe it's just wishful thinking...

But then you are going to have teams that have a short week. Unless you have a team that plays on Wednesday, always play in the middle of the week.

First you have to understand why football is not played every day. Preparation is one of the reasons as someone else said. But wear and tear on the body from the game is the main reason. It's why football has a 16 game schedule and not an 84 or 162 game schedule.

The NFL, if it played a regular season that was, in terms of weeks, as long as the other major team sports in North America, could have a considerably longer regular season.

MLB, for example, has a 26 week regular season. At one game per week, that'd be a 26 game NFL season (22-24 games if you wanted clubs to get a few bye weeks). The NHL regular season is slightly longer (26 weeks and 5 days long last season) while the NBA's is slightly shorter (24 weeks and 2 days long last season).

The NFL actually plays a 16 game regular season over 17 weeks.

There won't be an NFL team in Toronto for a long, long time. The Rogers Centre (formerly SkyDome) is too small to meet the NFL's standards on stadium size for an expansion team for one thing, and the NFL isn't interested in expanding anyway for another. Toronto's only chance would be for a group to purchase a team and relocate it here, but that's unlikely too. Expensive, for one thing, and Canadian television viewers don't count towards ratings in the states.
