The concept of seasons and years are too intertwined

This might sound a bit confusing.

In the game it seems that the concept of a season and the concept of a year are one and the same.

I just set up an MLB style league with a season length of 10000 (nothing to say it's not possible).

I would still have expected things like the Amateur Draft to have occurred in June, Free Agency filings to occur at the end of the year as players rack up enough service time. Contracts also seem to be for '5 seasons' rather than '5 years'

This appears to be more of a feature request than a bug, per se. Despite the unusual nature of the league setup, this behavior would appear to be intentional. These things are meant to be handled on a seasonal basis.

I would suggest that you request unique behavior for these types of leagues as a new feature request. Sound fair?
