Mike Greenberg's play-by-play
I didn't really think about it last night because I didn't watch much of the game but I heard a few pundits & callers kill him on the radio today. A caller to WFAN made the obligatory "who at ESPN is he sleeping with?" question which made me shake my head. Did I miss something? He didn't seem great but he didn't seem horrible. Then again, I didn't see much of the game.

He's not a play-by-play man, you can't rip him for doing something he isn't used to.

His voice isn't suited for the job, and was a bit jarring at first. But as far as his actual performance, I didn't think it was that bad at all.
His hair, on the other hand... Heh.

On another note, does anyone else really like the idea of MNF doubleheaders as a regular thing? I don't know if that's the plan, but it should be.

Greenburg and hair were horrible
Ditka and Golic were great The doubleheader was great ESPN sucks because they prefer banal in-house talent to far greater independent talent.

I only saw the very beginning of the broadcast but I though greenberg sounded completly out of place. He just doesn't have the play-by-play skills/voice/talent/whatever. I hate ESPN.
exactly

the NFL needs to allow the fan to see more games over the course of the weekend instead of 4/5 (2 or 3 day (if you can watch both at once), 2 at night)...a la college where I can see 4 or 5 games in one day on one TV (+ a few during the week) and probably around 10 on more than one. I'm all for a double header even if I have a 7:30 class.
