Can't install 2.0.3 patch

I am currently running v. 2.0.1.43 of OOTPB 2007. I have downloaded patch 2.03. When I run the patch .exe, I get the message that it cannot update OOTPB 2007. The exact error message is: "Installed version is newer than this update (#3)." What is going on?

Have you installed patch 2 ?

The version number implies that you haven't (after patch 2, version would be 2.0.2.53).

Although there is a problem with patch 3, I think you will have
to install patch 2 first anyway.
