Unusual Play

In the Toronto LA Angels game the Jays throw out the runner at third for the third out, just before a runner gets to home. The run of course did not count. In all my years watching baseball I've not seen this before.

I can see this happening on an attempted squeeze with 2 out but not on a regular base hit.

Darin Erstad threw out Jose Leon at 3rd a few years ago before Marty Cordova was able to score on a sac fly.
