Waivers and minor league contracts
On a Mac, latest patch-
When I make a waiver claim of a player who has a minor league contract, I receive a message saying that the player "has been placed in the designated for assignment area of my roster". The player is not, however, designated for assignment; he is instead assigned directly to one of my minor league rosters. Either the game does not behave as it should, or the message is in error. It seems to me that it is the game behaviour that is problematic- I think I should be forced to place the waiver claim on the 40-man, to mimic real-world waivers, or to pass him immediately through waivers myself, even if he has a minor league contract. I'd therefore expect, given how the game treats similar transactions, to find the player in dfa. All behaves as expected when I claim players with Major League contracts- they do indeed go to dfa. |

This has been claimed fixed for the next patch. If after the release of the next patch you find this not to be fixed, please post to that effect in Tech Support along with the above TT#. Thanks.

This is now marked as something to fix in the next full release of the game.
