GDSL Openings

We have 3 openings available in the Going Deep Sim League. The Giants, Nats, and Astros are all available. We are in the post season of 2008. The 2009 off season will begin July 13 and we'd like to fill the positions before then.

Feel free to contact me on AIM at mattr4310 if you are interested in joining a great league with a lot of great GM's.

Here's more info....

GDSL is entering it's 3rd season and we need 3 owners to keep the league full. This is a 6.5 league started with real rosters and will continue to remain so atleast through the 2009 season. So if you haven't purchased 2007 or you are still a fan of 6.5 than here's your chance to get in on a very well run league. We have a good commish that consistantly updates the main page and runs timely sims. Check out the website and sign up in the forums if you are interested.

Washington Nationals - Finished 2008 with a record of 82-80. Has a solid core of players with Renteria, Soriano, and Ryan Zimmerman. The pitching staff is headlined by Bronson Arroyo and closer Chad Cordero. The Nationals have the 25th ranked farm system in the league.

San Francisco Giants - 76-86 in 2008. The Giants are in need of some offense in 2009. Young players such as Ronny Cedeno and Travis Ishikawa look to be the cornerstones of the offense for a few years. The bright spot with the Giants is their very young, very talent starting pitching. Matt Cain posted a 2.32 ERA last season, and Zach Greinke's 3.17 ERA(1.01 WHIP) wasn't far behind. The Giants have the 14th overall farm system.

Houston Astros - A league worst 57 wins in 2008 assures the Astros of the number 1 pick in the upcoming draft. The worst record also grants the Astros the right to be the only team sending 5 players to the winter league for improvement. The offense is still young and raw, but with Cameron Maybin waiting in the wings who knows what the future holds. The Astros have the 3rd ranked farm system, which will only get better with their draft status.
