Being new to OOTP4 I was wondering what is a good amount of rounds for the draft?
Thanks, Hammer |

I started with 5, but have changed to 4 - which seems to keep the minor leagues cleaner and less cluttered.

DON'T do what I did for one of my leagues, I set it at 20. It created such a flood of useless players, especially for AI teams, that I regretted doing it. It would only become worse as the career years passed by. I now have it set at 5 players. Also, try to avoid drafting too many players in one position. If you have too many playing the same position, this can deter their development, especially your prospects. Try to have well balanced minor league teams.

I use 7, but I've only had a few drafts in my league. I may set it back if it turns out to be a problem.

All the previous replies concern the amatuer draft. If you're talking about the initial draft, I would keep it at 50. Then you get a 25-man active roster, plus 25 guys in your minor league system. If you were asking about the amatuer draft, then tell me to shut up.

Thanks for your replies guys, I had my ammy draft set at 20 but now I think I'll lower it a bit.
