I thought the 'Canes would make it. I believe it is the first time that the finalists from the previous season have both failed to get into the playoffs in the next year.

Ok, I'll be the first to go out on a limb and make some predictions. After all, it's always fun to pick apart someone elses predictions and tell them they're just plain wrong. I mean like last year when a lot of people picked the top 4 in the Western Conference, all of whom lost.
