Era Changes
I read where the game/stats evolve, based on the "era" you play when using historical leagues (i.e: Low HR leaders in the pre-steroid era, more HRs in the late '90s, etc).
My question is. Do these changes take place as you play through seasons? I am starting with the 1977 season, where scores are low, home run leaders are in the high 20s. As I continue my campaign on through the 80s and into the 90s, will I see a dramatic increase in power hitter's numbers? |

Take a look at two files in this folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\[your name]\My Documents\Sports Interactive\OOTP Baseball 2007\data\database era_modifiers.txt and era_stats.txt. Note the first row in each file defines what the numbers mean, separated by commas, and the year beginning every row of data. These files are what feed the Historical Modifiers and Totals Options when you use them for an historical league. I think you will be reassured by this (however, from a quick glance 1977 does not look like the year you describe), but you may want to wait for somebody else more experienced in historic play to comment. |
