I had Jose Lima pitch a complete game shutout (This was not his normal level of performance, he had a 5.40 ERA prior to this game). Because of the 2 hitter he was throwing, I let him go a bit longer after he was shown to be exhausted (red lettered). He ended up throwing about 120 pitches (or 30 more than he realistically should have). The odd thing was, he finished the game with no problem, however when I went to go look at what his stats were after the game, I saw he was marked as injured with a season ending injury.
Now I can find some realism to a pitcher having complications after a start that did not cause them to leave the game.. my problem is nowhere does it say what his injury is. It does not list anywhere in the news logs of him getting injured, and if I look at his profile, there is a blank line where the injury should be. Any ideas of how I can look at what his injury is, or what actually happened?

Just my 2 cents here but I think it is a legit injury and the bug is that it was not documented. I say this because I let Jason Schmidt pitch the 9th inning even though he was tired, because he had a shut out going. After the game, he came up injured. If you stretch a pitcher's endurance, there should be a risk of injury so I have no problem with that aspect of it. You should be notified though, which I guess is the bug.

Same thing hapepened to me with Barry Zito in the 162nd game of the year.
No email notification and no listing in the boxscore of an injury but he had a 4 month long injury when I looked at his card. Bad timing as I enventually lost in the World Series with a rematch of Atlanta vs Boston. They won this time in 7. |
