Need Some Advice And Help

Hello it1s been a while since i have posted, divorce new house took up most my time...... need some answers and help on a couple of matters .

my computer has just about died and i have it guy from work coming round to salvage data to place on my new all singing all dancing pc!!!!!!!!

1 what data do i save from old universe is it everything in data or do i do something else (very nervous about losing my uni)..........

2 how do i re licence game onto new machine? is it easier just buying new game for 30 bucks??????????

3 vista? is this going to be grief or am i ok with it? you cant buy a machine without it buy the way????????

i am on office pc and might take a while to respond. this is all due to happen this weekend and i am a tad nervous and need the experiance of the forum to help me throgh it.

some other things.

i just got back to uk from vegas ( i love divorce) a truly spendid occasion the worlds stars were out and two different but good fighters put on a fight that got the world talking. 10 thousand at the weigh in record tv figs. mma has got the new trend on it`s side and thats about it mma will be the best thing that happened to boxing it will make the sport get its house in order ie best fight the best belts dont matter fights do. there quite simply is no better occasion than a big fight in vegas. he might have lost but oscar is the future of boxing , smart and driven to improve the sport on the other side of the ropes . i hope that was his last fight. from ringside he looked like he won it and it made me realise how haRD IT IS TO SCORE A FIGHT.and lastly god bless chico you were a fighter who gave value for money and a genuine nice man .

1. Save the universe data file .. you can find all the pictures again

2. before shutting down your computer .. unlicense it and make sure you have the license # written down

3. Andreas just put out a patch that cures the vista problem so it's all good

Sorry or congrats on the divorce (covering all bases) now you have more time to rate fighters! ... unless of course all the boozing and whoring around gets in the way LOL ... Good luck on the computer switch.

Glad to see you back AZZA. Boxing is far from dead and i'm sure MMA will just motivate to make better fight cards, PPV's, ect.

Excellent point. It's tough to just dismiss a sport that has given this country/world stars like Ali, Joe Louis, Marciano, etc.

I was thinking about this & maybe part of boxing's problem is the fact the biggest stars in boxing fight anywhere from 1-3 times a year because they make so much money now in each fight. So, in effect, the stars of the sport fight so rarely, it's tough to keep the casual fans engaged in the sport.

That's just one theory, in addition to boxing just being on cable or PPV mostly now & so many belts.

looks like Kermit's willing to step up here:

Cintron targets UFC titlist!
Floyd Mayweather Jr. says he doesn't want to battle a UFC champion. No problem. IBF World Welterweight Champion and former high school/college wrestling star Kermit Cintron would like to accept the challenge from UFC President Dana White, it was announced today by Main Events CEO Kathy Duva. Cintron, who will be defending his IBF crown against mandatory challenger Walter Matthysse on July 14 in Atlantic City, NJ, would like to battle the UFC champion following his June IBF title defense. "I want the fight," said Cintron. "I can wrestle. I can box. I can beat those UFC fighters at their own game. Tell Mr. White to make me an offer and I'll take on his guy after I fight Matthysse on July 14." Cintron (27-1, 25 KO's) captured the vacant IBF crown on October 28, 2006, when he destroyed Mark Suarez in six rounds (TKO 6). The 27-year-old Reading, PA resident by way of Carolinas, Puerto Rico once finished 10th at the NJCAA Wrestling Championships. As a senior in high school he was offered full wrestling scholarships to Wisconsin University and Ohio State University. The Cintron-Matthysse bout will serve as the co-feature to the Arturo Gatti-Alfonso Gomez contest. Main Events is promoting the July 14 evening of boxing, in association with The Tournament of Contenders, LLC and Caesars Atlantic City.

I agree. Most hardcore fans like seeing the stars but also they like to see the fights on ESPN, Telemundo, Telefutura, OLN, ect. They have good fights maybe even better than some cards that are on HBO or SHO. The casual fan just like seeing the stars maybe twice-three times a year and if say a PBF fought four-six times a year, boxing would definitely have more fans and more of a following.

^ True.

I thought Jim Lampley raised another good point about boxing on the radio the other day. He said part of the appeal of a fight like Floyd vs. Oscar or Oscar vs. Tito is those fights tend to build over time & if/when they do happen, a lot of the time it's a 1 shot deal - in other words, a rare event. In a way, it forces fans to want to tune in because there may not be a part 2.

It would be nice if they could produce more fights like that. The 147 picture might become a little more focused by July 14/15th. By then Cotto/Judah, Hatton/Castillo & Margarito/Williams will all have hopefully had their fights & maybe one or more of those guys could emerge as a fighter fans would pay & want to see vs. Floyd.

If unbeaten guys like Cotto, Hatton or Williams emerge, then you have a "one 0 must go" set-up if they face Floyd & that in itself is something that can draw in casual fight fans.

I think the three fighters who will come out of that group are Cotto, Williams, and Hatton. Should be interesting how they are matched up once those matches are said and done. Any combination of those three guys would make for an outstanding fight.

That's right & Mosley's still out there too. I did read Hatton wants Oscar & Oscar wants to fight in England. Hatton said that could be in front of 70,000.

Even if Oscar's lost a step or 2, a fight against Hatton could make him look better because Hatton would be there for him to hit - unlike Floyd was.

IMO Oscar should retire but there are matchups out there that he can concievably win. Hatton is willing to sit there and trade so a fight with him and the addage of "styles make fights" would definitely bode well for both Oscar and Ricky. This also shows you what kind of warrior DLH is if he is willing to go over the pond to make it happen.

Yeah, I think he might do something like that for a 3 reasons - he apparently wants to fight in England, fighting before a crowd that large would be quite a site/event (we all know Oscar's into that) & he probably wants to go out with a win. That would be a pretty grand stage for his farewell fight - one where he'd have a decent shot to win with his left hook & power.

I think most boxing fans and Oscar himself would like to go out a winner. This would be the perfect stage for him to have his farewell fight and plus like any other DLH event, this will do extremely well on PPV.
