Please Help an Old Man With a Problem

I cannot download updated league files from my league. We are doing an inaugural draft and it is being updated but I am getting "Error:Couldnot download file." When I try to load online league file or I check for updated leage files under daily management, I get that message. I am concerned because when I try to download, it says "opening ftp files". I never used ftp in 6.5 to export or download. I have tried deleting lg files and redownloading but I only go back to original date. Is there ANYONE that would take some time to WALK me thru this. I was not born into the pc and am having a dickens of a time. Your help is GREATLY appreciated!!

I'm sorry that I don't know enough to help you, but I suggest that you post this in the technical support forum (CLICK HERE), because it stands a better chance of getting answered there.

Good luck.

Tom is in my league, and we're havin' a heck of a time gettin' the download option to work for him.

1) What port does the ftp service inside ootp use?

2) Can you just grab the file manually and put it somewhere in your /data/ folder and have it get extracted manually?

3) or lastly, will he just have to download the file manually, and extract is manually?

What OS are you using? Vista? XP?

In terms of manual downloads, that is an option. You just need to put them in your Documents and Settings/Sports Interactive/OOTP Baseball 2007/saved_games folder or equivalent based on your OS.

We just put the "fun" back in "dysfunctional."

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.
