Opinions so far on some odd logos/unis (NFL-based)
I'm setting up a league in which I'm using NFL teams and history as the basis for play, so I've been using this time as an excuse to try my hand at customizing uniforms/logos/etc.
So far I'm about one-third of the way through the 28 teams (I'm in the 70's - had to add two teams to equalize the leagues). As such, I'd love to hear any opinions anyone has on my work so far. If people actually like 'em, I'll zip them up and send them off to someone if they want to host.

I think they look pretty good. The Browns look... brown. Not sure if I like it but, the browns aren't exactly a pretty team to look at. Keep up the good work.

I then realized that if I was semi-mirroring things, I couldn't use a logo, so just stuck them in as you see it.

Actually, as far as I know, the Browns don't even have an official logo. It's just a brown. If brown was an object.
I like the Pats and the Colts unis. |

They look good. If you're looking for suggestions, though, here are a few:
Cincy - Do the cap in tiger-stripes like their NFL helmet. Browns - Put in the white front-to-back stripe like their NFL helmet. And maybe to break up the plain jersey, have them be one of the few sleeveless jersey's in the league. Lastly, maybe go with a white undershirt to differentiate them more from Cincy. Cowboys - Put the star on the cap, rather than a D. Lions - I'd like to see the lion logo on the cap. If it was me, I'd keep it so only one team can use a letter for a cap logo. There's only one "D" cap in the league. Denver has it so Dallas and Detroit have to find something else. The NFL logos are recognizeable enough so it shouldn't be too confusing who's who even without the letters. You might consider having some teams with jersey piping in the same color that the teams use for their sleeves. Just a thought. My $.02

I may be a complete newb/n00b/rook... whatever... but the Browns DO have a few logos they've sanctioned in the past.
While their helmets and uni's may leave a little to be desired stylistically, the following have been used by the team in years previous: and I don't know if these were team-issued or not, but they were part of the set at logoserver.com, too. PS: Since you've gone with the old Bronco's logo form the 80's (Bull Durham, anyone?), the old Brownie logo's aren't such a stretch... and the 1969 Cowboys logo from that site might look great on a baseball uni, too! (if you can find a cleaner version, of course) Paterson. (rookie) |

I really like the set up you've used for the Bills, Falcons and Cowboys jerseys, where the logo is offset over the letters.

I did tweak the old Patriots and Dolphins logos though out of necessity, so its not out of the realm of possibility I would have to do so again.

what is the status on these? I have been trying to complete a good template based on football for a while. Having the NFL, CFL, Arena, Arena2, XFL, WLAF, NFLE, and College all in one file.

And you're anxious to make this available to the rest of us, right?

I'd be willing to work on that with you, just tell me which league you want me to work on and I'd be happy to do so. Here's an example of my work.

Nicely done! I really like the ones where the logo is sitting over the text. Good stuff.
