Are you playing an independent team, or an affiliate?

I know it sounds stupid to recommend reading a 520 page manual, but somewhere in there you'll find instructions on how to set the AI not to mess with your lineups.

If I recall, it's a two part procedure, but I believe you start on the 'Manager Options' page. There are a series of options there allowing you to set either yourself, the AI manager or the bench coach to control various things like lineups, depth charts, promotions and demotions, trades and so forth.

After that you stop by the 'Options and Ballpark' page for your team (and probably your affiliate teams, if you have any). There should be a checkbox that says something like 'Prevent AI Roster Moves'. You may need to be in commissioner mode for some of these options to appear.

I'm not as familiar with 2007 as I am with 2006, so take what I say with a grain of salt, and don't get frustrated. Hopefully there will be someone along shortly with more up-to-date information.

If you are playing as a minor league manager, it's been reported already that the AI messes with your rotations, lineups, and depth charts when it should not be doing so. After all, as a minor league manager, that's all you really can do other than manage the game itself; roster moves and other transactions are being done by your AI GM boss. They are looking to get the fix in the next patch.

The thing about the "Prevent AI Roster Moves" is, no one has said whether it fixes the problem described above. Also, someone else corrected me by pointing out that only the parent club has this option; they removed it in 2007 from affiliated team Options & Ballpark pages. What this means, I don't know yet, but regardless I don't think it's an answer to loonsluv's problem. He may need to wait for the next patch.

dola,

On the other hand, it may be just as simple as the first thing that Curtis mentioned; loonsluv may be managing on the major league level and may have the setting in his Manager Options for Team Control - Setting Lineups/Depth/Pitching Staff set to his AI team manager instead of himself.
