Highest Rested Starter?

Does anyone know if the TT # 2230 regarding the potential malfunction of the "Highest Rested Starter" has been resolved?

Sorry to post here, i did do a search and don't see anything indicating it's been fixed. I did just have it fail to work in an online league, but I guess I was wondering if it were an online issue rather than just the game itself.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hrm, I don't think 2230 is the issue you're referring to. Here's the description I have is as follows:

Quote:
In Game Control the option number 10 when the user is bating,is overlaped by the switch to pitch by pitch mode. Both options are sitting on top of each other.
Suggested fix
Please ensure that option 10 is not overlaped by any other options.

If I had to guess, I'd say he meant 3230, which is described as follows:

Quote:
I have a 5-man rotation, set to start the highest rested starter, but it does not appear to work.

I especially noticed this after the all-star break. The #1 starter pitched the last game before the all-star break (June 21). However, after the 3-day all-star break, the rotation continued on with #2-3-4-5. The #5 starter pitched on June 28, an entire week after the #1 starter last pitched. He was listed as 100% rested for at least June 26-27-28 and should have started one of these, I'd think.

I checked the stats for the previous season and in a 160-game season, only 3 pitchers in the league pitched more than the 32 games (2 with 33, 1 with 34) and I think I set the rotation manually on those (when activating someone from the DL).
The TT itself hasn't been closed out, but I just ran a test myself (in the latest beta version) and I would say it's fixed, depending slightly on your definition of "rested". The game will skip lower-ranked starters, but only if there's a higher-ranked one who is 100% rested. It does not skip starts if the higher ranked pitcher is only in the "green" 80-90% range.

In effect, this means that the #5 guy will get skipped when the team has an off-day during a typical season, but it will not skip him just because the #1 guy only threw 80 pitches the last time out and wasn't quite as exhausted. Since that pretty much conforms to how teams treat pitchers in MLB these days, I don't see a problem there.

Oh, and I ran that test with Online League Mode enabled, FWIW.

Kai;

Thanks very much for the response and my apologies for the error on the TT #.

The starter in my online league that didn't pitch was 100% rested which was what got my attention in the first place, otherwise I don't think I would have noticed it. For the time being, I'm going to use a 4 man rotation where the schedule will allow and work around it that way.

Again, thanks for the help. And good news as well.

tbs.

I use "start highest rested" with no spot starter in OOTP11. It is working for me. A pitcher needs to be at least 95% rested before he is started.
