3158 - Conversion Problems from 6.5?

Has anyone else documented conversion data from 6.5 to 2007?

I've done this a few times, and it seems 2007 is really boosting both the speed and stolen base categories significantly while the rest seem to be fairly solid.

For example, in 6.5, a player who stole 60 bases swipes twice that in 2007. The speed and steal ratings are improving by as much as 60 points when converted. Is this something that has been noted, that can be looked into, or should I attempt to find an alternative fix?

Just wondering here. Can you replicate this again and again, without fail? If so, we need to see your league file and then we can log this issue and get Markus to look at it.

I've done the conversion a few times and the result is pretty much the same yes. I don't have a problem giving my league files if need be.

Just a message to say I'm also experiencing this as well. I converted the CBL 2.2 rosters for the 2004 season to OOTP 2007 and Vernon Wells is consistently stealing 50 bases. He also gets caught stealing about 40 times but his stealing abilities appear to be more than slightly exaggerated with the conversion.

I'd post my file if I weren't on dial-up. But if you really want it, let me know and I'll figure something out.

I've actually had the opposite happen when I imported a 6.5 league. All of my stolen base numbers were coming out rather low, and the same was true with sac bunt and bunt for hit numbers. I tried it a few different times, and always got the same result.

Like I said in the other glitch thread I posted in, I'm not 100% sure how to get a file ready for anyone to look at, but if someone wants to look at this and help, all they have to do is point me in the right direction, and I can get the file up there. Maybe they can look at both the problems I am having with my 6.5 league!
