Feature request: Make Lahman import settings sticky
I'm putting this in tech support since it's a technical issue. Other mods, if you think that's wrong, feel free to move it.
I recently posted around here regarding whether the game retains the settings you enter into it for importing from the Lahman database (whether to use peak seasons, # of AB to weaken batters, etc.). I was told that the game loses these settings if you close it down. When you start back up, they revert to the default settings. I'd like to request that this be changed so that individual leagues will stick with whatever settings they are assigned. If I want a league to weaken batters with less than 5 AB, this setting should stay with the league throughout its history. Additionally, there should be some clear way to change these settings once a league has started. Currently there is no way to even see what the settings are. Thanks.

You can see what the import setting are by accessing the 'Free agents' page. There's a button on the bottom that says 'import historical player', which will show you the historical player import options.
However, as you said, it does no good to change these options because they revert to default when a draft class is imported. And, from what I noticed, no matter what your initial import settings are, they will revert to default at the first draft class import, even if you sim from the beginning to the draft without closing the program down. OOTP2006 operated the same way. I would also like to third this suggestion. |
