To easy to miss a game?

Is there an option to set so that if you have a game on a given day and you hit finish the day that you can have a pop up warning you that a game will be simed if you continue?

On the Manager screen it would also be nice to have the option here to manage the game. So you could have a "Current Game" section with a option to manage or quick play.

doesn't the manager portal show the upcoming game in the bottom of the middle column?

As bp said, go to your manager home page and look at the middle column. You can autoplay until your next game.

You also can go to the team view of your schedule which shows every upcoming game. You can even sim with the schedule window open and see your scores as it cycles through the schedule.

I can't tell you how many times last year I had to hardkill the game to prevent a save after I accidentally simmed a game. The new manager portal is a godsend.

Maybe I am missing something but....

I see on the middle of the manager screen where I can sim to the next game. Once you are there (have simmed to that game) that game drops off and the next game appears to sim to. So now you have no options on the managers page in regards to the current game. So having the current game information and an option to manage the game here would be nice.

Also the monthly games view for your team does not have any options here for what you want to do with that days game, would be nice though.
It just has links to the team you are playing.

You still have to go to "League Name" and then "Scores and Schedules" in order to finally get an option to "manage" the game.

So like mentioned by Erik if you tell the sim to finish out the day, not remembering you had a game that day the sim will move on with no warning that a game is about to be simmed for you. Now I know some maybe, a lot do not manage games, that is why I mentioned an option to not have the warning.

There should be a "Play Game" option*. If there isn't, make sure you have the league your team is in selected as the active league in the upper left corner.

*Edit: In the middle of the manager home page.

I do think that would be a nice "Exit Auto-Play" option though:

Exit Auto-Play if . . . I have an unplayed game.

So much so that I added it as a feature request.

The Play Game option is described on page 151 of the manual, in section 5.1.3, too.

FYI, I don't believe it's available for Spring Training though. Perhaps that's the issue?

That maybe, that it is a spring training issue. I will have to try to play further and it looks like for the regular season my "manage" issue from the manager home screen will be solved.

Thanks

I bet that's going to be it, because I discussed an issue in beta with Markus where the "next game" displayed didn't include the Spring Training games, so that in Jan it said the next game was in April. He wasn't able to resolve that issue, so I bet that's what it is...
