Hearing a Strange Noise Since I Started Playing 2007

It was sort of a high pitched whine, kind of off register, maybe like what a dog hears when you blow a dog whistle. Kept getting it intermittently all afternoon while I tried out the new version. Every now and then, I'd check the computer case, move the monitors around, try to see what it was, but I never could figure it out. Others on the board weren't mentioning it. I kept thinking that I'd stop everything and try to figure it out, but the game kept pulling me back in.

Finally, when I went upstairs to go to the bathroom, I realized what it was.

My wife was screaming at me to get off the @#!$ computer!

I feel ya buddy. My wife thought it was bad when battlefield 2142 came out, she's filipina and she was always like "I hate da 214d2, it's so pucking stupid". She has no idea what levels of uselessness I can achieve when a new OOTP is released.

Is uselessness a word? If not, I'm gonna patent that bad boy now.

'Uselessness' is a perfectly good word — in use in my family all my life.
