Server error: Online league!
I know I have been posting a lot and I apologize for this. I was thrown into this commisioner job and I do not want to let my friends down. I have been spending countless hours trying to learn the game and I am currently trying to dowwnload the game to a friends website.
Here is how my set-up looks exactly on the online set up in OOTP 6.51. Here is exactly how every part of the Game looks GENERAL OPTIONS Internet League Mode: Enabled Enter Commissioner Password: (Put my own) Import all Teams from server (did not touch) Prompt for exporting game: Disabled Allow owners to release players: NO FTP SETTINGS Ftp server address ftp.bnewman.ho8.com Username: bnewman Password: nym516 HTML Export: /www/sim League Port: 21 MASTER HTML REPORT Destination folder: (this is where I chose a folder) Generate Players: Yes Box scores: Last 7 Days Game Logs: Yes Then I generate the reports Then I upload the reports and I get this message "the connection with the server was reset" Did you do something to the server? I will ask OOTP Tech support Problems I am having: 1. getting the reports into the folder I created. 2. Uploading the files to the server 3. I need to know if I need to make the reports in the ootp 6.5 folder? 4. Do I need to purchase a seperate ftp program to download the files? Please help me out and I will not post this anywhere else but here

your file path to the server is bad
HTML Export: /www/sim League and/or the ftp server is refusing your connection, try Username: bnewman @ ho8.com or Username: bnewman @ bnewman.ho8.com edit: no spaces by the @ , damn auto formatting

i have a hard time explaining this but if all you have in the htxl export field filled in is a / then it uploads the files to whatever directory is default for that ftp accout.
if i were one to use the games ftp feature to upload the reports for my league it would simply be /output since output is a folder in that ftp accouts root dir. it is all i need to put. god i hope i made sense and didn't confuse you more ![]() it's faster (by a whole bunch) to zip the file you generate the reports to, upload them via ftp or the webhost accout's file manager (if it has one) and then unzipped it again on the server

holly cow that took a long time!!
I had a draft sim to run so i thought i'd use the in-game ftp to upload the html reports and see what my settings are... the damn thing took over 30min you don't understand, i have a fiber connection.... it takes less time for me to do the whole regular sim, file upload and all... jeeze.for the love of yourself, use an outside program. i use smartftp or my website control panel (smartftp is only nagware)
