Logo Mod Help Needed

I'm trying to modify the logo of Celtic FC for my new team, the Toronto Celtics. I know what I want to do for the logo, but I don't exactly know how to do it. I've tried, but I'm not the best with Photoshop. If anyone could assist, it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm looking to make the letters fill the circle a bit better, and maybe with a different font. I also would like a small baseball on each side of the year, if at all possible.

Any attempts are welcome. Thanks!
