Equally outrageous, but Matsuzaka was the "prize" Japanese pitcher that was posted and everybody expected a bidding war on him.

Igawa was the "prize" Japanese pitcher that was posted for the losers of the Matsuzaka bidding war

if Matsuzaka is expected to be the next coming of Christ, Igawa is John the Baptist.

Igawa is an *** Cy Young winner and K leader multiple times. in this year's market....thats definetely worth Juan Pierre money

I dunno. Only 35% of his starts have been CGs. He might be bullpen material.

I'll reserve opinion on him as a player until he's gotten a few seasons into MLB.

That said, 25M *plus* whatever contract he gets is awfully high for a guy that's never thrown a pitch in a MLB uniform.

Roger Clemens only completed 17% of his starts. CG% doesn't really mean anything.

He's thrown 35 CGs in 98 starts. I think you're counting his non-starts.
