Importing Rookies

OK I posted this on the general discussion area, but I figured I may get more/better answers by posting it here.

I am playing a historical league with Lahman DB 4.5. When I finished 1999 I told it to import real rookies and it just went right to coaches, it didn't even ask for the stats path name.

Now when I ended 2000 it didnt even ask me if I wanted to import real rookies and it imported NO rookies, this is now two seasons with NO rookies and it is quickly killing my league.

I understand that I can manually enter EACH player with the Player ID from the Lahman DB, but we are talking about manually entering over 500 players combining the 2 seasons. The Lahman DB has a field in the Master.CSV for debut year, why cant I import all Players who match a certain debut year.

I feel this is a MAJOR bug in the game and would hope that if there is not a fix now that there will be in the next patch.

What version of the game are you using? Have you changed any abbreviations, etc for the league or teams?

I am using the newest patch, and I have not changed any of the abbreviations.

OK, I figured a workaround... You may want to post this for others.

First load the master.csv and delete all players who have a debut date before 2000, then import the 2001 team and you will only get the players who have been added since 2000. You can then trade those players from the new team to their real team and delete the newly imported team.
