Draft rounds
What would be a good number of rounds for a rookie draft in a 30 team league? Any opinions? Please try to back yourself up.

5 is generally fine... it gives you some talent.. but avaoids giving too much talent as to choke the minors.
During the early years if the minors are sparsely populated then I might make the draft a little bit longer... but by the 3rd or 4th year 5 is generally enough. |

I'm on 5 right now in my 30-team league. Make sure that your minors aren't clogged already, and if they are you may have release some of the deadweight, or make the draft shorter.

Actually with the latest patch the AI does do a better job releasing deadwood (not great, but much, much better)

Yeah, I've noticed it, very nice fix. Although occasionally a crappy team like Tampa Bay will sign about 15 $200K scrubs during the free agent period that it has no use for.
