Hi all,
I am looking for some fun ideas to add to my team. I posted to get a new logo. That is coming along nicely.
Colors are Red and Black.
What about a mascot?
Namimg of stadium?
A catchy slogan?
It would be great to see how creative you all can be.
I think Pete Rose as manager might be fun.

Mascot = Snake Eyes

Stadium = The Avalon

Slogan = Odds are, you'll love it. (borrowed from Ohio Lottery)

My planned Las Vegas team (Blackjack) has a promotion ... purely for my benefit. If they ever win a game by a legal blackjack score (other team scores more than 17, Blackjack scores less than 21) a fan gets 1 million dollars! This would also apply if the opposing team busts (scores more than 21). I think I've explained that correctly, eh? We'll see if any lucky fan ever collects.

I was kind of thinking that the mascot would have one of those air cannons for lobbing souvenirs into the crowd, call it, say, a "Crap Shooter", but then the mental image of what the mascot would load the thing with, well that's the stopper right there (if you're thinking "dice", bless you, but you need to lay off the Gary Gygax games for a bit).

In ancient Roman times, sports and cultural spectacles -- the good ones, anyways -- kept a reserved section of front-row seats for the Vestal Virgins, a group of extremely beautiful women who were priestesses of the goddess Vesta. Maybe your stadium could have the same kind of thing, except with Vegas showgirls. Might be the first ever instance where the fans will be carded just for going through the turnstile.

You can name the field after mobster Bugsy Siegel who many believe was the first to start development around Las Vegas. Siegel Field? Siegel Yards?

But weren't they also buried alive in tombs whenever something bad happened to Rome? So could these girls get sacrificed if the team loses or has a losing season?

They were only buried alive if they had sex. They were sacred objects and the laws concerning them were very serious.

Most of the time Rome would just kill off the guy in charge if things got out of hand. A swift way of dealing with politics.
