Fan Interest Doesn't Increase ???
I thought that a "win" in a home "promotional" game guaranteed that fan interest would increase by 1. But, with my weak team (fan interest = 50), fan interested has only increased one time in three "promotional game" wins...
Is this the way it's supposed to be?? It never happened last season with my "good" team ....... In case it matters, I'm running the latest patch release of OOTP4. |

No, a win in that situation does not mean an automatic increase. What good would that be? Chances are good you'll get an increase then, but the randomness of the game must be considered.

There is a team in my league with a 101-39 record, who went dep in the playoffs last year and has fairly low ticket prices ($9) and has a fan interest rating of 71.
My team has 30 less wins, higher ticket prices ($11) and has the same market size, but has a 72 rating. It is burning him up.

That's some fickle fans.
Actually, what's kind of neat about this game is that you cannot predict what those goofballs who buy the tickets are going to do. I went from 2nd to 4th (in the NL Central) with the Reds one year and fan interest went from the mid-60's to the low 40's. Then I turned it around, finished with a winning record and those front-runners only increased their interest to 47. I couldn't even get them to come out for Stripper Night!!!! |

that 71 fan rating team must be from philly....i'm currently leading my division in end july by 10+ games and my fan interest is 53....but fortunately there is no sound so i don't have to hear them boo sandy koufax when he isn't pitching a shutout every game

My experience has been that the higher the interest rating, the less often a win on a promotional day will increase the interest rating.
This brings up a question. If your fan rating is at or near 100, is there any reason to schedule promotion days? -SM |

I believe you can increase the number of fans that come to the game. |
