Major American League Setup Question

If I go to "Create New Game" and select "Major American League", teams have 2 Single A team affiliations. I know in real life, this is High A and Low A. Since the equivalencies are the same for both Single A leagues, how does the computer AI decide what single A team to put a player on since they are the same?

thanks,
Bob

The two A level teams will be equal in the AI's eye....

I think the teams will be seen as being about the same level, which will fluctuate a bit based on the quality of the actual players in the league.

What would happen if you lower the MLEs for one of the A-level leagues slightly?

Well, then the original players in those leagues are going to differ a bit in talent and from what I understand how the AI evaluates the levels it should realize which one should be "higher" in the totem poll. I havn't seen this in action though, so I don't know if it works this way or not.

It will affect the initial quality of players in that league (without a draft), but after that, the AI will treat one A team the same as the other...

Infractions: 1/0 (0)
It doesn't treat them as equals, other than in how it lists the transaction. The one higher on the totem will be a step up, technically.

This is where you get into problems as mentioned elsewhere because depending on how you add the teams to the game, the AI could treat A as a step up from AAA (though that's not necessarily relevant here.)
