Question about utilities

I've been running a league for about six years now and have been using some form of CatoBase since I first discovered it. My league is still using OOTP5 (we've been slow to upgrade, obviously), and I've been having problems with the version of CatoBase that I typically use (V 5.3.1). It worked fine last time I used it, but that was when I still had an old computer that ran Windows 98 (yeah, I was slow to upgrade that as well). Now that I have a new computer with Windows XP ME, it will no longer load (I'm getting a run-time error), so I'm assuming that's the problem.

My question is this: Is there a Cato utility that will work with OOTP5 and Windows XP ME or will I just have to bite the bullet and upgrade to OOTP6 and use the latest version of CatoBase?

Secondly, will I be able to use my old Catobase files and continue from where I left off or will I be forced to rebuild the entire history of my league in the new version, which is going on 22 years?

If anyone has any experience upgrading from OOTP version 5 to 6 and from the old Cato utility to the newest version, I'd love to hear from you.

Thanks in advance!
