Post More questions

Sorry to keep pestering you guys with these inane questions but I was wondering about the situation on contracts in OOTP4.

1. Is there arbitration in the new version?

2. Is the six year free agency rule in place? (three years of league minimum and three team optional years of arbitration)

3. Are the contracts in the game based on what actually players are getting? i.e. has A-Rod got his $252m or Ja$on Giambi his new contract? Or are the contracts just based on ability?

4. Is it possible to back load contracts? Almost all of any major long term contract signed nowadays is backloaded. I just wondered if this was featured in the new version.

As an A's fan, I'm used to under-market contracts, getting the most out of players in the six/seven years we have until free agency, then saying goodbye to them and restocking from the farm and starting the process over again. I was just wondering if this was possible in OOTP4 or whether I would lose my young players after 2/3 years.

Thanks,

1. no

2. no, but I think that a player has an automatic contract for a certain number of years-not certain how many.

3. Real players are NOT sold with the game so they are based on ability. Others have made rosters for the game but we do not support any 3rd party additions.

4. no

Sorry, I know that there are fictional players that come with the game, but they also had the same stats as real life counterparts, so was only wondering if they had the same salaries as their real life counterparts.

Anyway thanks for clearing it up for me.

I thought I read in one of the new reviews that the players are going to based on real life players. Is that what you meant by "based on ability" Steve?
