Game crashes whenever I click certain tabs

Everytime I click on the ROSTER, LINEUP tabs my game will freeze and when I try to click anything else I get a message saying OOTP not responding, and the game closes...anyone else having this problem.

Can you give me some details about your system? Also what other programs, etc are running in the background when you attempt this?

Well I'm running a 2.8 ghz processor, Win.XP Pro, 1 gig of ram... I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game and I have used 2 different roster sets, as I assumed that maybe my set was corrupted,

Go into your "saved_games" folder, zip the .dat files of the league and email to markus.heinsohn@sigames.com. In the email, put a link to this thread.
Post within this thread that the game file has been sent. Then I'll log this into TestTrack.

Never had a problem with the game until tonight. It locks up on me whenever I try to make a substitution. Then I get the dreaded:

ootp2006.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

This sucks. Help?

Sorry, but I loaded the files just fine and clicked on everything without crashes, so something is wrong with your computer

Same here.

I will be doing something like looking at my teams minor league financials from the roster screen and it will completely lockup and I'll be forced to close it.

Usually after a sim I make sure its saved so I don't get that dreaded msg.

What are your system specs and how many programs are starting when you turn on your computer?

I have a sneaking suspicion that the problem lies in the other league files and not in any of the .dat files. I created a saved game a couple of weeks ago, and it seemingly became corrupted. It developed these same symptoms, with crashes happening in the roster screens and even in other areas. I had never even simmed any games.

My other saved games were fine, and any others that I created were fine. So I simply concluded that this particular saved game was corrupted.

pentium 4, 1.8ghz xp
512mb ram

Processes? Just a select few. But nothing that should cripple it.

As far as programs usually just windows media player and IE browsers.

I'm usually hours into the game when it will crash and is not something that will crash right away.

i recently uninstalled the game and saved it in a different directory...it originally saved under c:/programfiles/sports interactive/Outofthepark2006 well i changed the folder name from Sports Interactive to SI and reinstalled the game and everything works fine. I even had a backup of the league file and that works fine too.. So that seems to be the resolution of my problem.
