Draft Problem

I NEVER HAVE 1ST ROUND PICKS!

I always trade for an extra pick, and when I don't sign a good free agent, I should have two every year. But for whatever reason, I NEVER have these damn picks!!!!!!!

I have just run into this myself. I've done it for years and had it work. The last two seasons (10th and 11th years I've played in this particular game) I haven't received those picks.

Very strange...any one have any ideas??

Post Patch I have been getting shafted on my trades for 1st round picks. After 2 seasons of wondering if I had screwed up the trade and I really hadn't gotten the picks I thought I had, I did a test. Traded for 4 First Round picks.....and Viola, Nothing but my own original pick appropriate for where I placed at the next draft.

Major Bug imho.........

I believe I read somewhere that the game (erroneously) protects the first half of the first-round picks from being traded away just like they are protected from being lost due to FA compensation...could you check if you're getting tons of second-rounders now instead? And, if you have a chance, try trading for a first-round pick from a team that's going to pick in the bottom half...

I actually did notice that the first year I didn't get my picks.

I had traded for the #1 overall pick, but I'd also traded for the 19th or 20th pick. I had the lower pick, but I didn't have the top pick.

I'm wasn't sure why that was, but I never thought to check for the pick "becoming" a 2nd round pick.

Either way, like you said Zeyes, it definitely isn't the way it should be.

Sorry it's taken so long to look into this.

Is this issue still popping up for any of you? If so, we'd love to get that logged as a bug. If not... even better!

We usually close threads if they've gone without a response for seven days, as is the case with this one, as it can be assumed that the problem has been resolved.
