Possible fix for News ticker in XP
I was having problems with the news ticker not working in XP. But when i changed the windows theme to Windows Classic and it started working! Also, when i changed back to Windows XP theme, it still worked. Hope this helps

Ya know.... it never worked for me, but I didn't see any other posts about it so I scratched it off as something with my computer and just ignored the whole thing.
Forgot all about it until earlier this weekend when I noticed news scrolling across the bottom of the screen. I wondered why it was working now, what changes I could have made, but forgot all about it until I read your post. I switched my theme to Classic earlier this week........
