SOS! Help Proceeding to Next Season

I know I've posted this before, but I'm really on the verge of just uninstalling this game forever, so I decided to post it here for some help before I did that.

I have a v6.5 game, and I just finished a season. I tried "Proceeding to Next Season", but the game would just freeze after generating the reports. I released all the players I had DFA-ed, and then I toggled off Manager Mode, trying anything to get it to work.

Now, it still generates the reports, but when "Proceeding to Next Season," instead of simply freezing, it gives me a runtime error, abnormal program termination.

Can anyone help me fix this?

I have my draft set to 5 rounds because I heard that high draft rounds can cause this problem. Also, the date at the top of the Standings screen says 12/19, but when I go to the schedule, it shows October 30.

Like I said, if I can't figure this out, I'm probably just going to uninstall the game once and for all, so anything you can throw out there to help me solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.

I was, no joke, frustrated to the point that I was going to just uninstall the game and be done with it forever. Like you, I had tried every single thing that I could think of to fix the problem, from releasing my DFA players to changing Ammy Draft rounds to turning off Manager Mode.

But you saved me. So thank you -- and Sporr, for his insight in the thread that you showed me -- so much for your help.
