OOTP podcast?

I thought of this on the way into work this morning...listening to a podcast...

Is anyone aware of an OOTP-based podcast? Or any OOTP'ers that do a podcast? I just was thinking that it would be cool to have some to listen to...break up the monotony of all the tech podcasts I listen to.

Here's one:

You might want to search for "podcast" and see if anything else comes up, though.

Ok, I'm checking that one out. Anyone else with suggestions would be appreciated, as well.

Thanks,
Matt

Does that league really use OOTP 2?

How exactly do podcasts work?

It's a form of push media that you "subscribe" to (it's generally free for these things) over the Internet, often times assimilated from segments. Think of it as a captive audio file that you use software to tune into, download and play.

Common applications using podcast are things like iTunes (not free).

lol - interestingly enough, that's where it borrows that part of its name from because of the similar technologies, but there is no need to have an iPod or similar device for a podcast. Just your PC

Oh, I thought it might be a cool idea to be able to do some stuff with your league on your ipod somehow.

Hey, just found this thread. I'm the Commissioner of the Ted Williams Memorial League and yes, we do a podcast (with owner interviews, detailed Hall of Fame ballots, etc.) and yes, we use OOTP2 (here's why).

If you have any questions about getting your league podcasting, hit me up. It's been great for us. Really a lot of fun, especially interviewing "friends" you've never actually spoken to.

If you want a taste of what we do, try these out:

http://www.darowski.com/twml/?p=162 — This is a VIDEO podcast of our latest Hall of Fame Annoucement show. It follows a fairly typical podcast formula, but provides visuals (photos, stats, etc) of the players inducted. I'm sending it out to some owners via DVD.

http://www.darowski.com/twml/podcast...2013ENDAPR.mp3 — I post this because (a) it's our latest episode, (b) it's kinda short, (c) and it talks about something we all dread—the career ending injury. In 2013, we lost Mark Buehrle.

http://www.darowski.com/twml/podcast...t_2012OFF3.mp3 — Perhaps our best episode... it was a season preview and contains FOUR interviews with owners. It also has some great Earl Weaver audio at the beginning.

So, just trying to give other owners some ideas. Good luck!
