In his prime @ 160, I recall Hopkins being rated as a 12 in TBCB. His latest rating, he's a 10, I think.
For those of you who saw his fight last Sat., what rating would you give him @ 175? I've read some accounts & people say he looked so good @ LHW, he probably should have moved up years ago - he fought like his prime years @ MW. I'm looking forward to the HBO telecast myself before the live Taylor/Wright fight! |

Thanks IceTea. An 11 makes sense because Tarver was a 10 as I recall.

I would move Tarver's rating down to an 8, maybe even a little lower. I'm wondering if he was adjusted in the new DB?

He is an 8 in the latest addition. I assume he is still a 10 on the data base. I simed him an Hopkins 10 times and Hopkins won 6. The attached rating of Tarver is the one from the game not a creation or tweek on my part.

Hopkins is my IBF MW champ & in his last defense, he KO'd Nigel Benn @ 0:33 of the 3rd. He had to, Benn was going all out trying to take off Hopkins' head. Thanks again! |

My creation of Hopkins is 5-17 in my simulations. Donny LaLonde has KO'd him twice.

Wow, 5-17? Hopkins has been my IBF MW champ since 1999 & is undefeated. I forget now how many defenses he's made but it's up there.
You're just a lousy manager for him IceTea. LaLonde was my IBF LHW champ & lost a 15UD to Glen Johnson in a great fight. Donny dropped down to 168 recently to challenge Hearns for his WBC SMW belt & Tommy TKO'd him in the 8th. Last edited by hamed; 06-15-2006 at 08:10 AM. |

5-17? Ouch! That just proves anything is possible in TB2.

As for losing to LaLonde....was that at LHW?....No way B-Hop losses to him at SMW (outside a fluke)...and I'd still pick B-hop over him at LHW as well - |

I tweeked him again and he is still losing!
I think I have a virus in my game that dislikes him. He finally defeated Lalond TKO6 but is 20-48-6 (9). I can't wait for the new data base to get issued.MJ

I use the rating that game with the game. I have also found that Hopkins loses a few fights that he should win. I look at his ratings, and they appear to be right on point. I started a new Universe recently and I am currently in the process of having tournaments to determine my undisputed champion in each division. In the middleweight tourney,Hopkins was upset by D.Lopez in a 3rd round TKO. I was stunned.

Very surprising, Hopkins is a monster in my universe.
I checked & Hopkins is 25-0 (17 KO's) & just made his 14th title defense. In the old TB card game, Sugar Ray Leonard holds my all time record for title defenses @ 17. He retired 25-0 @ the WW limit. Hagler was 2nd with 16 MW defenses & Salvador Sanchez 3rd with 15 defenses @ FW. So BHop is closing in on tying my all time MW record & might catch Ray. Hopkins sure did look good in that bout. I made some minor adjustments to the rating posted above. I can't wait for the new data base. I think Hopkins as as much or more ring generalship that any fighter in the last 20 years.

This is not a criticism .....
There isn't a better cheater in the sport of boxing than Hopkins. He holds and hits effectively ... he beats the hell out of the opponents hip bone, he has the best lead right, head butt combination in the business and seems to do all this while the ref isn't looking. |
