Unhappy Mock Draft

I'm not new to the game however I am new to this version of the game. How do you reset the rosters or clear the rosters to prepare for a mock draft. Then once done, how do you run a mock draft? I can't find any buttons or tabs for this.

Please explain to me like I'm a four year old!!!!

Thank you.

Are you doing a fictional league or are you doing a historical replay? With minors?
I dont think it matters, but to help answer your question I began a fictional league, with no minors, or other leagues. You can probably hold separate drafts for each league you add to your universe. It seems pretty easy and straight forward. But I would suggest that you just try it this way to figure it out and then start again with all the extras you may want.
So first add a fictional league. Then under the League set up tab, click on the options tab. I believe the default for this is to "Hold inaugaral draft" checked, but you can see it at the top of the screen of the options tab. It might not be the case for an imported league.
After that set up any rules or other options you want.
Then start your league. The first day of the league is Jan 1st, sim to the second of Jan which is the draft day. Form there I would choose the draft mode pull down and switch it to serpentine, so the first pick in round one picks last round two and so on.
Hope this is what you were looking for, and is clear enough (minus my butchering of the word "inaugaral").

Thanks but still having problems

I used the MLB quickstart 2.0 that I downloaded from this forum to get the current players but I still can't find where to do this at. I would like to use current players but have a mix of people on teams.

This is only something you can do when a league has been created with the option for an inaugural draft selected. If that particular quickstart was created WITHOUT that option, then you are SOL. Sorry.

Unfortunately there's no way to do a fantasy draft with the MLB quickstart (although there will be after the next patch, Markus mentioned he's putting back the "reset, release all players and draft" feature)

I'm not really understanding what you mean by "running a mock draft." Based on your two posts, I'm thinking you may just be misunderstanding what a "mock draft" is. A mock draft is not the actual draft, it's just a prediction made by someone of what will happen in a draft. For example, when Mel Kiper predicts who each team will pick in the first round of the NFL draft, that is a "mock draft." The actual draft itself is not a mock draft. In sports games when someone chooses to have a draft to assign all the current players to new teams, that's commonly referred to as a fantasy draft.

If you actually are trying to run a mock draft there's no way the game can do this itself, so you're pretty much restricted to looking at the draft pool and coming up with it yourself.

Although I think it would be pretty cool to have a mock draft in the game.

I think the release all and draft is a feature that is coming with the first patch.

Yes, very cool. Its so tough to gauge a teams interest in players and rank them in any sort of usable fashion. You might be able to list the top 10 players but where will they be drafted based on team needs and things like that? It would be great to have a quick mock draft.
