Historical League

I downloaded the Lahman Database and attempted to start a Historical League but it said that the file "failed to import". I showed the game where to find the file. I thought I didn't have to do much. What am I missing?

Did you unzip the database file and make sure you had this version of it?

http://baseball1.info/statistics/lahman53_csv.zip

It is version 5.3 comma-delimited version you need.

If the above is all set up correctly did you point the game to master.csv file within the Lahman 5.3 database?

Finally if all of those are correct did you select a year between 1901-2005? It will not correctly import years prior to 1901.

Click out of that box and see if the teams and players are there. I've gotten that error too, but it meant nothing.

I'm getting the same error.

Loads the database fine, creates the teams and the players, then tells me it can't find the database, and to put the correct path in the league options menu.

Problem is, it's already got the correct path entered.

Doesn't import the proper players at draft time.

I can't even get the thing to unzip. But unfortunately that's a problem with me not the file!

That is your problem. That happened to me. You have to unzip the file. Once you unzip the file to a folder the computer will recognize it..............................Z

Did you unzip the file? You have to unzip it to a reg folder..........................Z
