League Info
Hello, I have never played online sim baseball before and would like to join your league. I think a lesgue using real players is probably best. Email me at yoman419@yahoo.com. My AIM is dawson8mvp.

![]() There are a ton of things you are going to have to decide on your own. For the league to keep YOUR interest, you are going to have to decide on things like fictional or real players, real or fictional logos, small league vs. large league, DH or no DH, special rules or "gimmicks" incorporated into the league and so on... A user-friendly league sounds like a great idea but in my mind it is often best to lay the basic groundwork of the league yourself and see if it attracts the caliber of people you need to sustain it. Once you have the foundation, then use your desire to have a "friendly" league with GM input on the smaller things like tweaks to free agency, ability to move teams or modify stadiums, ability to rename players or draft picks (if fictional), and things like that. Leagues I have witnessed that start as "ok, lets have a bunch of get together and build this league from the ground up" have a much smaller survival rate than leagues where you have a solid commissioner with a dream (putting it dramatically!) and a vision and then asking others to participate in it with him. If you look in my signature, the leagues listed there were started by someone with a distinct vision and goal, with the framework already laid. Now each is a thriving league in which many of the participants each think that league is the "best". Sorry, long winded, but wanted to add my two cents!

This is rare but I definitely agree with LivnLegend, even if his Crazed Natives did start several brawls with my Surf in the USBA. Our league is very strong because our commisioner and our co-commisioner came into the league with a strong set of ideas that haven't had to be bickered over. The owners then were allowed input on things such as; interleague play, designated hitter, division alignment, and how the original draft should be done. This gives everyone a sense of ownership but at the same time maintains the league idea that the commisioner came in with.
