Loading of the Database Failed

Hey,
When i try to start up a new league it gives me an error..The Loading of the Datatbase has failed. It is either currupt of a save game of an older version.
Can anyone help me out?

I am using Lahman's database and when I load a historical league by picking a random year, the historical league won't load. When I try to do it through 6.12 or 6.5 the league has an error. How do I get this database to load?

Which version of the Lahman database are you using?

I believe it is the most recent one from his web site. I don't remember the number though.

Its database 5.3 in the spreadsheet version.

Here are the steps you should be taking to load a year:

1. Put the lahman database somewhere on your hard drive.
2. Create New Game within OOTP 2006.
3. Click Add historical league.
4. Choose path to the master.csv file for Laman.
5. Enter the year for importing and begin the process.

If this doesn't work, what errors are you receiving?

I followed those first three steps, and they worked perfectly. I have been using the zipped version of Lahman's database in step four, and when looking at the unzipped copy, I could not find master.csv. When I pick my year, I get the message the import historical league failed.

You can't load a .zip file into OOTP. You must unzip all the files in the lahman database to your hard drive. OOTP needs to user Master.csv in order to load the players.
